The field of study "Technology Of Artistic Processing Of Materials" enables students to unlock their creative potential through working with applied materials.

Potential employment areas include development and selection of various modern materials and their processing technologies with consideration of the artistic patterns of finished products.

In the course of training students study computer technologies in design, computer science, 3D modeling in design, modern production, technological foundations of artistic creation, ergonomics and anthropometry, product decorating techniques, animation and multimedia technologies, web design, technologies for using light installations and other disciplines.

Learning outcomes

The programme graduates acquire knowledge and skills in the following areas

  • artistic and technical products made from materials of various classes (metals and alloys, wood, ceramics, stone, glass, plastics, bone) possessing functional significance, aesthetic component and novelty;
  • technological processes (casting, pressure treatment, cutting, surface treatment, heat treatment, chemical processing, electrical processing, laser processing);
  • computer technologies for modeling, designing, shaping and color formation of finished products;
  • artistic techniques for obtaining finished products from various materials, ensuring its aesthetic significance;
  • artistic and technical products combining two or more classes of materials (combinations of sizes, shapes, color palettes).
