Scientific research at the Institute of Humanities is conducted in eight fields of science: philology, pedagogy, psychology, philosophy, history, economics and jurisprudence. The general direction of research is “Man in the system of social interaction and cultural values.” The institute includes educational laboratories and equipped rooms “Room of folklore and ethnography”, “Office of practical psychology”, “Sensory room”, “Resource center for the psychological and pedagogical development of abilities and talents in children and youth”, “Courtroom”, “Office criminology". The Institute traditionally hosts various scientific events, such as international conferences: “Problems of conceptualizing reality and modeling the linguistic picture of the world”, “Problems of artistic anthropology and literary comparative studies” (section “Literary text: theme, image, conflict”, “Russian studies in the 21st century”; all-Russian conferences: “Current issues of innovative development of the Arctic region of the Russian Federation”, “Comprehensive support for children with special educational needs”, “Methodological readings”; regional conference of students and young scientists "April readings”; university conferences: “Dynamics of legislation: current issues science and practice”, “Formation and strengthening of Russian sovereignty and Russian identity”, various scientific and practical seminars. The Forum of Pedagogical Excellence is held annually, which is designed to unite representatives of the entire teaching community with the aim of exchanging experiences, creating a unified educational space, maintaining the continuity of different levels of education and the continuity of the educational cycle. The results of research carried out by professors, doctoral students and students, as a rule, are implemented in traditional collections of scientific works “Problems of conceptualization of reality and modeling of the linguistic picture of the world”, “Modern problems of linguodidactics”. The Institute of Humanities successfully trains highly qualified personnel in graduate school in the direction of 45.06.01 Linguistics and literary criticism, areas: German languages, Russian language, Russian literature. Professor N.I. Nikolaev, T.V. Simashko are scientific supervisors of graduate students.
