The Northern Arctic Federal University is glad to offer foreign students who are seeking to study at a Russian university, but in need of additional training to improve their Russian language skills, a one-year foundation program at NArFU Preparatory Department!

Подготовительное отделение для иностранных граждан

For applicants with Beginner-Elementary knowledge of the Russian language, the foundation program offers an intensive Russian course (fall and spring semesters) as well as a variety of subjects such as technology and engineering, humanities, science, and economics (spring semester).

On completion of the NArFU Foundation Program, the students are prepared to enter a full degree program (bachelor, specialist, master, PhD levels)!

NArFU Preparatory Department offers:

  • Small groups (up to 8-12 students);
  • Experienced teaching staff and high-quality education;
  • Modern language teaching methods and learning facilities;
  • Free Wi-Fi, computer classes and multimedia resources;
  • Adaptive, social, and cultural events;

Foundation Program complies with the Order of the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation from 03.10.2014 №1304 "The requirements for the Development of Additional General education programs that provide training for foreign citizens and stateless persons to the professional educational programs in the Russian language".
