Lesnoy Zhurnal (Russian Forestry Journal)

On January 27, 1833, the Society for Encouraging Forestry, founded by the order of the Russian Emperor Nikolay I, made a decision to publish «Lesnoy Zhurnal (Russian Forestry Journal)» — the first forestry periodical in Russia.
Lesnoy Zhurnal (Russian Forestry Journal) has been issued as a part of the «Bulletin of Higher Educational Institutions» since 1958.
Lesnoy Zhurnal (Russian Forestry Journal) maintains good traditions and the main idea of the unity of forestry, science and practice, constantly expanding the themes and the range of issues. It publishes the research papers in all fields of forestry, reports on the manufacturing application of the results of completed studies, on the best practices in forestry and forest industries.
Founder and Publisher is the Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov (NArFU).
In 2011, Doctor of Technical Sciences and professor V.I. Melekhov has been appointed the chief editor of the journal.
Lesnoy Zhurnal (Russian Forestry Journal) is included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications of the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles.
The journal is reviewed by the Russian Institute for Scientific and Technical Information of the Russian Academy of Sciences (VINITI RAS), is indexed in the system of the Russian Science Citation Index.
Lesnoy Zhurnal (Russian Forestry Journal) meets the international standards and is included in the international databases Emerging Sources Citation Index (Web of Science Core Collection), Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) database on the Web of Science platform, Ulrich’s Periodical’s Directory, AGRIS, EBSCO, J-Gate, Chemical Abstracts Service, CABI Forest Science Database, Index Copernicus, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Norwegian Centre for Research Data (NSD), EuroPub, InfoBase Index, JournalTOCs, Scilit.

The journal does not have article submission / processing charges nor author’s remuneration.

Arctic and North
«Arctic and North» journal (ISSN 2221-2698) is an electronic scientific periodical that has been published continuously since the first issue in 2011. Not less than 4 issues are published per year. All articles are published in Russian and English.
The journal is focused on the Arctic and North mostly from the perspective of economics, political science and social studies, with attention to historical, cultural, environmental studies as well. The journal is published for the wide audience and may be interesting for representatives of scientific community, universities, research institutions, Russian federal, regional and local governments, business, culture, and for everyone involved or interested in the Arctic and North both in Russia and abroad.
All articles are reviewed (double-blind peer review). All issues can be downloaded for free. The Creative Commons CC BY-SA license for the journal and articles is in use since September 22, 2016.

Vestnik of Northern (Arctic) Federal University. Series «Humanitarian and Social Sciences» is an academic peer-reviewed journal recognized by the Russian research community.
